April PAD Challenge - Day 2
Yes, I'm still doing this…I haven't been keeping up with it as well as I have my pictures, so I can't claim to have written every day, but I AM hoping that one of these will possibly make it into the ebook. This one is a silly bit of nonsense I wrote for the prompt "outsiders" A Real Cat They sit, tails twitching, Eyes full of disdain, posture erect Glaring haughtily at the door Even as the rain confines them to porch corners Their very presence taunts those behind the glass, As if to say "look at me, you who are tamed, petted and pampered - You who have lost your freedom – for you can never be like me" They lie, huddled together, Avoiding the cold, driving winds With pride intact and heads held high Watching through the windows even as they are watched They tease the ones inside Mocking and tormenting with looks that say "It is you who is the outsider, Cushion-and-Cream Kitten. Behold, a real Cat."
